You became a teacher because you love kids and love learning. But somewhere between piecing together reading lessons, finding writing activities, tracking assessments, and trying to figure out what comes next — that love started getting buried under the workload.
You teach reading on Monday and writing on Thursday and they feel like two completely different programs. There's no thread. Nothing carries over. Students aren't making the connections you know they should be making.
You know what you need — something Canadian, something engaging, something that actually fits your curriculum. But every time you open TPT, you spend forty-five minutes scrolling through American worksheets that need to be reworked before you can use them.
There's no consistent routine. Students ask the same questions every day. Transitions take too long. You're managing the classroom instead of teaching it — and you know the difference.
You know where your students are, roughly. But organized, triangulated evidence of learning? That's the part that gets pushed to evenings. Or weekends. Or honestly, never.
Even when you finish one week, the next one is already looming. You're always one step behind where you want to be — and you're tired of it.
You entered this profession because you wanted to watch kids grow as readers and writers. That part still matters to you. But when the workload is this heavy, it's hard to stay connected to why you started.
Not because you gave up control. Because you built something strong enough that students know exactly what to do — every single day. Reading connects to writing. Writing connects to word study. You have time to actually pull guided reading groups. You leave school on Friday feeling ahead, not behind. That’s what Ignited Literacy is designed to do.
Every week builds reading skills through a structured sequence of modelled, shared, and guided instruction — all connected to the same text, theme, and comprehension focus. Students move from whole-group instruction to independent practice with the scaffolding already built in.
Writing instruction in Ignited Literacy 2.0 is structured, explicit, and student-centred. Each week includes teacher-led writing lessons alongside student-led writing practice — so students are developing their skills through direct instruction and real, purposeful writing every single week.
Ignited Spelling 2.0 teaches spelling and morphology explicitly — through mentor texts, not memorization. Each week, students work through spelling and morphology concepts in context, connected directly to the week's reading and writing focus and grounded in Science of Reading principles.
Grammar in Ignited Literacy 2.0 is taught through the writing, not alongside it. Each week includes a grammar focus woven directly into the reading and writing lessons — so students encounter grammar concepts in real texts and apply them in their own writing right away.
You know there are many different parts required to run a successful literacy program. But wasting your time finding all the pieces and still being frustrated that nothing seems to work together needs to end!
That’s exactly why Ignited Literacy was born. Teaching Language Arts is easier when everything is designed to work together. It’s not just a random collection of worksheets – it’s a full and complete system…all you need to do is teach!
Every component of Ignited Literacy 2.0 is designed with one thing in mind: less time planning, more time teaching. Here’s exactly what you get inside your membership.
18 complete units across three grade bands (3/4, 4/5, and 5/6) — six units per grade, fully aligned with the 2023 Ontario Language Curriculum. Each unit is four weeks of fully integrated reading, writing, spelling, and grammar instruction. No gaps. No piecing things together.
Explicit spelling and morphology instruction built directly into each week — taught through mentor texts and connected to the week's reading and writing focus. Science of Reading aligned, Grades 3 to 6.
Timely, themed content added throughout the year to keep your literacy block fresh and engaging — without you having to find or build anything.
Anchor charts, implementation guides, about-the-book pages, and getting started resources so you can launch the program with confidence from day one.
Formative assessments, reflection journals, unit assessments, and observation tools are woven into the program — so evidence of learning is always within reach.
Universal Design for Learning pathways allow students to demonstrate their understanding in different ways — without you creating separate lessons for every learner.
All your materials live in one organized digital library, accessible on any device. Everything is where you expect it to be, when you need it.
Every lesson, unit, and resource is built specifically for Canadian classrooms. No more adapting American content or hunting for something that actually matches your provincial expectations.
Your membership always includes the latest version of the program. When updates are made, you have them — at no extra cost.
Hundreds of Canadian teachers have already made the switch. Here’s what they are saying!

No — all Ignited Teaching programs are in English only. Madly Learning resources are created by English-speaking educators and we are not able to maintain the quality standard we hold ourselves to in a language we don’t speak fluently. We have no plans to translate any of our programs into French or any other language.
Ignited Teaching programs are built specifically for Canadian classrooms and aligned with all provincial curricula across the country.
Whether you’re teaching in a large urban board or a small rural school, the programs reflect Canadian content, Canadian contexts, and Canadian curriculum expectations.

Honestly? It could cost more.
Ignited Teaching memberships are not a TPT store. They are not a collection of worksheets someone made on a Sunday afternoon and uploaded for a few dollars. Madly Learning is a curriculum development company — founded by teachers, built by teachers, and supported by teachers — and what we deliver goes far beyond what you will find anywhere else at this price point.
Most resources on TPT have you clicking through slides, lecturing students on topics they have already tuned out of, and handing out read-and-answer worksheets on repeat. That is not teaching. It does not make learning engaging, it does not move students forward, and it does not make your job easier or more meaningful.
Ignited Teaching memberships are built differently. Every program is grounded in UDL, high-yield instructional strategies, small group learning, and research-backed approaches to teaching and learning. You get lessons that actually work — hands-on, engaging, and designed to help students build real skills. And it all lives inside a teaching system that makes managing your classroom and your planning easier, not harder.
We should probably be charging what Nelson, Pearson, and Scholastic charge. We don’t — because we know teachers are often paying for this themselves, and because we believe you deserve better than what the big publishers are selling at three times the price.
This membership is not for every teacher. If you are looking for the cheapest possible option so you can hand out a worksheet and call it a day, this is not for you.
But if you are the kind of teacher who actually cares — who wants your students to genuinely learn, who wants to run an engaging, high-quality classroom without building everything from scratch — then you are exactly who we built this for.
Rise above. Keep your evenings. Be the teacher others wonder about.
You focus on the teaching. We have everything else covered.

The short answer is YES!
Ignited Literacy is designed and continually updated to the current pedagogies for literacy. Our members can count on us to know what the work is, what the research says, and to deliver current, up-to-date content.
This is a junior-level program for grades 3-6. We focus on building and refining skills that meet the needs of this age group. We are often asked if we align with UFLI. This is a fantastic program, but it is also a primary K-3 level program. This means that in most junior classrooms, UFLI is not appropriate for students working on grade-level skills.
Our Ignited spelling program does offer remedial skill-building lessons that cover similar skills as UFLI (but in an easier-to-implement way and designed for junior learners – so age-appropriate looking work with remedial skills.)
Overall, rest assured that we will do the work to ensure what you are teaching is current, up-to-date, research-backed, and ahead of the curve! Without you needing to do all of that yourself.
